06 September 2021

Participants competed in accuracy, speed, attentiveness, shot at paper and metal targets at distances from 100 to 730 meters.

Near Bishkek, in the village of Bash-Kara-Suu, the first T-class shooting competitions were held, organized by the Sniping Federation with the support of the Combat and Practical Shooting Federation of Kyrgyzstan.  Colleagues from Russia helped prepare for the match.  This was reported to 24.kg news agency by the organizers of the sporting event.

It is indicated that the masters of sports of Russia in practical shooting arrived in the capital for refereeing.  43 people passed the accuracy test.  Amateurs and professionals demonstrated their shooting skills with bolt and semi-automatic rifles.  The security officials accepted the invitation to show their military prowess.

Participants competed in accuracy, speed, attentiveness, shot at paper and metal targets at distances from 100 to 730 meters.

“Civilian shooters have more opportunities to develop their shooting skills because special forces soldiers have other tasks besides shooting training.  There is little time for shooting.  Therefore, in this sense, the exchange of experience is useful for both sides,” said the representative of the Russian side, Ivan Languev.

In training, in his opinion, the Kyrgyz shooters are not inferior to the Russian ones.  The fight for prizes was tense.  Sniping is a whole science that requires not only accuracy, maximum concentration and the ability to hit right on target from any position.  In order not to miss in open space, it is important to take atmospheric conditions into account and correctly read the parameters of air flows.

“You can’t say that one exercise is difficult, and another can be done without much effort.  Any hit target is the result of hard training and the right attitude.  In sniping, every detail must be taken into account.  I am glad that a platform has now officially appeared in Kyrgyzstan where our shooters will hone their skills and grow professionally,” hunter Denis Zlobin shared his first impressions of the tournament.

According to Aidar Okenov, Chairman of the Board of the Sniping Federation, three more high-precision shooting tournaments will be held in Kyrgyzstan by the end of the year.  The best of the best will be invited to join the team that will play for the KR in international competitions.

“We are still a young organization, but we are moving forward with leaps and bounds: shooting rules have been defined, the federation's website has been developed and launched, and the first T-class sniping competitions have been held.  There are many amateur shooters in Kyrgyzstan.  And one of the important areas of our work is to instill a culture of handling firearms, improve the skills and raise the training of shooters to a higher level, provide a good platform where professionals and amateurs of high-precision shooting will exchange knowledge and experience,” the head of the association emphasized.

According to the results of the match, Sergey Zuev, Evgeniy Vitkhin and Mirlan Akmatov shared three prizes in the categories "accurate shot", "dynamics" and "long-range target".  Complete with medals for the first, second and third places, they received a cash reward.

Recall that the Sniping Federation of Kyrgyzstan was formed this summer.  But today more than 80 people have already registered in it.  And, judging by the number of requests and the number of participants in the last match, interest in high-precision shooting continues to grow.
