For the first time a sniper shooting tournament was held in Kyrgyzstan

The Sniping Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic was formed to popularize high-precision shooting, develop patriotism and exchange experience.  According to the chairman of the board of the federation, Aidar Okenov, the main task of the organization is to form a culture of handling weapons in society.

"We plan to organize competitions, master classes and trainings throughout the country. Both civilians and our military will participate in the tournaments to exchange experience and improve their skills. The fact is that civilian shooters are ahead of the security forces due to access to a large selection of sniping technologies  ", and law enforcement agencies have less choice. The first high-precision shooting competition with the participation of shooters from neighboring countries will be held on August 28," Okenov said.

He stressed that there is an agreement with the Federation of Precision Shooting of Russia on master classes in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of leading Russian specialists, as well as on holding joint competitions.

“Sniping is the science of hitting the target exactly, and this requires, among other things, mathematical calculations to determine the ballistics of a shot, as well as taking into account atmospheric conditions and the ability to read wind parameters,” he said.

The tournament with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic and media workers was held at a shooting range in the village of Bash-Kara-Suu.  The journalists fired Finnish and German-made rifles with the highest quality optics at a target at a distance of 100 meters.  According to the results of the competition, Emilbek Kalybek uulu (KTRK Sport) took the first place, Kymbat Kalyknazarova (Birinchi Radio) took the second place, and Elaman Kasykeev (KTRK Sport) took the third place.

Sniping is shooting using high-precision weapons with high-quality optics at long distances (from 200 meters to 2 kilometers).  It is necessary to hit a target 3 centimeters in size with one shot.  A sniper must be able to shoot from any position, from different lines.  The main principle of a well-aimed shooter: one shot - one target.
